My 2026 Faith Goals/Bucket List

I can't believe it is 2026 now! Where has the time gone?! I know we're already a couple months into the year, but I kept procrastinating on finishing and publishing this post until now. But I finally got it done!

I love to make lists, especially goals/bucket lists, and this post is all about what I would like to accomplish this year.

I am hoping to grow more in my faith and my walk with God this year, and in the years to come, and decided to create a list of things I would like to do that would help with that.

In no particular order, here is what I would like to do this year:
  • Attend church in person again every week
  • Read the Bible every day
  • Pray every day
  • Get closer to God
  • Be an STM at a Joni and Friends retreat (I don't think this will actually be possible this year, but I still wanted to put this on my list just in case)
  • Read one faith-based book a month
  • Memorize 1 Bible verse every 1-2 weeks
  • Go on regular prayer walks
  • Become more comfortable with praying out loud
  • Listen to Christian music every day
  • Write in a prayer journal regularly
  • Participate in my church's prayer shawl ministry again
  • Attend a Christian/faith-based event
  • Paint faith-based paintings (at least 1-2 a month)
  • Get baptized
  • Go to an Easter church service
  • Watch at least 1 faith-based movie a month
  • Memorize the Sermon on the Mount
  • Learn how to listen to/for God's voice
  • Learn how to play 1 Christian song on the violin a month
  • Create a prayer corner in my home
  • Read a devotional
  • Be more comfortable with driving, and get my license so I can be more independent (I know this isn't specifically faith related, but it is something that I hope God can help me with)
  • Write my testimony
  • Take better care of my body
  • Donate items (in good, usable condition, of course) that I don't want/need any more to people in need
  • Write poetry
  • Get involved in my church

What are things you would like to do this year? How is your walk in your faith, and with the Lord?
