My Life Verses

I have recently heard of life verses that people choose for themselves, and I loved the idea of it. I thought for a while one what I want mine to be and have just figured out the one I want for my life.

Some time ago, I heard about life verses, and have been intrigued by them ever since. A life verse is a Bible verse that speaks to you in a personal and profound way. As I read the bible, I would keep in mind what verses would speak to me, and I would write them down to decide on which one seemed like "my" life verse.

There are two that immediately spoke to me, and I couldn't decide which one I wanted most as my life verse. I have decided to have both be my life verse, as I feel led to both of them.

The verses I have chosen as my life verse are: 


Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

Joshua 1:9


Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will surely help you; I will uphold you with My right hand of righteousness.

Isaiah 41:10


I believe these are the perfect verses for me, as I am a painfully shy and introverted person, and fear gets ahold of me often.

I am always doubting and fearing the unknown, and I need to learn that I don't have to be afraid, that God is in control, and that He can do anything.

These verses remind me that I have nothing to fear, because God is always with me. He cares for me, and I know that I can do anything through Him.

They remind me that I am never alone, that God is bigger than my fears, that I am safe, and that He can do anything. I will always have someone by my side, no matter what happens, and He loves me, cares for me, and knows what is best.

Reading the Bible in One Year: June Reading

How is another month starting already?! I can't believe how fast the days have gone by. I have done pretty good in May. There were a couple of days where I forgot to reading the day's passage, but I just reading the following day, along with the next day's reading. To be honest, I am so surprised that I have been able to keep up with this challenge, and not given up. Reading the Bible in One Year: November Reading

October went well, in terms of keeping up with the readings. I didn't miss a day, and I am finally in the New Testament. I have been looking forward to reading the New Testament for quite some time. I can't believe I am nearing the end of this Bible reading plan already. I have enjoyed it and look forward to seeing how I do in 2024.
