My Walk by Faith

In February of last year, I decided to get back into reading books (I wanted to mainly read physical books, because I am at a point where I love turning physical pages. For quite some time, I had been listening to audiobooks, which I still love! But, it's time to go back to physical books).  I did well for a few months, and then I ended up getting sick a couple times (a cold in July--I did test for COVID, and it was negative for that, thank God!--and then infections in both ears in September--SO not fun!!). During the time I didn't have any illnesses, I didn't really have the energy to read much of anything, as all that took it out of me. But I was slowly getting back into the swing of things and was able to read more and more. Hopefully I can read more this year, and not get sick, or at least have more energy to read, as I love books and reading. I can't believe it's the end of the year already, and that I am almost done reading the entire Bible!! Where has the time gone?! I did well in November, so hopefully December will go just as well. October went well, in terms of keeping up with the readings. I didn't miss a day, and I am finally in the New Testament. I have been looking forward to reading the New Testament for quite some time. I can't believe I am nearing the end of this Bible reading plan already. I have enjoyed it and look forward to seeing how I do in 2024. This year, I wanted to focus only on reading the Bible, but next year, I hope to go more in depth and study the word, as well as to memorize some verses. Well, it is the holiday season once again. I can't believe Thanksgiving is here already! This year went by so fast. Since there are 30 days in November, I have decided to make a list of 30 things I am thankful for this year.  This year was a slow year for me, but there were some things that happened, that I am so very thankful for! Well, September was a much better month for me, with keeping up with the month's readings. I finally had a good month and had the motivation to read the Bible every day. Which made me very happy!  I am truly enjoying reading the Bible every day and hope to include some Bible studies and devotionals soon, so I can understand the Bible more. Well, August went much better, in terms of reading the Bible every day.  I didn't get sick and was able to keep up with each day's reading. which I am so thankful for! It was so nice to sit down every day, to read the day's verses, without worrying about whether or not I felt up to it. I knew that I had the energy every day to read and was more willing to keep up with it. I enjoyed it all the more, since I knew I wasn't going to be derailed by my health. I played the violin for a couple of years in elementary school, but quit because, at the time, I got bored of it. And now, I regret quitting, because I actually love the violin. I think I just didn't want to practice. Which I know a lot of people are that way with practicing something. They want to be good at something without having to practice. But, I am eager to get back into it, and learning how to play, and I do want to practice!
