A Little About Me and This Blog

Hello, and welcome to my new blog! And, happy new year! I can't believe it's already another new year. 2022 went by so fast!


Since it is 2023, here are 23 things about me, that I thought you would like to know.

  1. I am the youngest of 5
  2. I am very introverted and shy, but can be outgoing around the right people
  3. I am a huge homebody
  4. My favorite hobbies and interests are writing, photography, knitting, crochet, baking, traveling, puzzles (especially 3D ones and sudoku), painting, playing the violin, playing the ukulele, making lists (yes, you read that right!), watching movies and TV shows, music
  5. I listen to several different types of music: country, Christian rock, Irish, pop, rock n roll
  6. My favorite music artists are Andrea Bocelli, Francesca Battistelli, Matthew West, Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, Jonathan Antoine, Garth Brooks, The Beatles, Celtic Woman, Celtic Thunder
  7. I am a huge night owl
  8. These days, I prefer audio books over actual books, because I just can't seem to concentrate on reading a book myself
  9. I am currently in between jobs, and am working on bettering my mental health before getting another job
  10. My favorite foods are Pad Thai, pasta, curry, chicken tandoori, macaroni and cheese, chili, chocolate, tacos, sloppy Joe's, chicken pot pie, nachos
  11. I prefer warm weather over cold weather
  12. I am hoping to strengthen and grow my faith, as well as my relationship with God
  13. I love animals, especially dogs, cats, horses, and polar bears
  14. Since 2019 (minus 2020, of course), I have been an STM at a Joni and Friends retreat, and absolutely LOVE IT there!!
  15. My favorite color is purple
  16. I prefer text messages and emails over phone calls
  17. I prefer warm weather over cold weather
  18. I have an obsession with composition notebooks, and have a bit of a collection of both
  19. I prefer long hair over short hair
  20. I never really liked school all that much until I got to college, because I could study what actually interested me, and I could set my own schedule
  21. I am somewhat of a video gamer (I will play for probably a few months, then stop playing for a long time, and then will get back into it. I guess I have to be in the mood to play video games.)
  22. I love to shop, but am trying to cut down on my spending, as I tend to go overboard sometimes
  23. I recently got into junk journaling, and absolutely love it, as I get to create it the way I want it to look
Now that you know a little about me, let me talk a bit about this blog, and how I want to use it.

I hope to share my faith journey here, the good and the not so good. I want to keep myself accountable in my faith, and learn to listen for God's voice.

I want to be able to see how God has worked in my life, that he is always there for me. I just need to reach out to him.

I hope this blog can inspire others in their faith journey, to be able to keep going, even when things are tough, and that they are not alone with God by their side.

Reading the Bible in One Year: June Reading

How is another month starting already?! I can't believe how fast the days have gone by. I have done pretty good in May. There were a couple of days where I forgot to reading the day's passage, but I just reading the following day, along with the next day's reading. To be honest, I am so surprised that I have been able to keep up with this challenge, and not given up. I usually give up on things after a while, but I am still going with this bible reading challenge, and I am very happy with myself! Reading the Bible in One Year: November Reading

October went well, in terms of keeping up with the readings. I didn't miss a day, and I am finally in the New Testament. I have been looking forward to reading the New Testament for quite some time. I can't believe I am nearing the end of this Bible reading plan already. I have enjoyed it and look forward to seeing how I do in 2024. This year, I wanted to focus only on reading the Bible, but next year, I hope to go more in depth and study the word, as well as to memorize some verses.
