100 Bible Verses I Would Like to Memorize

For quite some time now, I have been thinking about starting a memorization challenge, and have decided on 100 verses I would like to start with.

I am planning on learning one verse every week or two, by writing them down on index cards and memorizing them that way. I may try other ways of memorizing them, as well, to see what helps.

I have decided to go in order of the beginning of the Bible, to the end, in terms of what order I want to memorize these verses.

Here are the verses I would like to memorize:

There are more verses that I would like to memorize, but this is a great starting point for me, and I don't want to get ahead of myself here. Nor do I want to overwhelm myself.

This is partly to deepen my faith (well, I suppose this is mainly to deepen my faith), partly to improve my relationship with God, partly to improve my memory, and partly to allow me to feel like I am a part of a faith-filled community.
